Vintage American Furnace Company door latch from AFCO furnace m/n: SR-105MA.
Please see pictures for description.
This door latch mounts within a 2 1/4" hole.
This door latch is in decent ahape. It has originally been mounted in its prior furnace via 3 rivets that protrude our from the outer flange of the body through the sheet metal door they were affixed to. To remove them I had to grind off the mushroom heads of the rivets. A person trying to remount them in a new application would need to use a totally differnt method, possibly drill a hole through the flange where the remaining rivet heads are and use small bolts and nuts to attach them (see pics)
Its made of metal and they have a set of spring washers at the center to keep the handle under constant tension so they don't wobble around or move unintentionally.
A picture of the original furnace tag this was recovered from has been included with the listing pictures for your refrence.
